Inception
A Journey of Discovery: The Birth of Kalakriti Shiksha Foundation
Our story began with a Bollywood feature film that required a child actor. While auditioning in the slums of Kanpur, we found a boy who was a complete non-actor but possessed an infectious spirit. We decided to cast him, dedicating months to training and filming in the very neighborhoods where he lived. During this time, we witnessed the stark realities faced by children left unsupervised as their parents worked as daily wage laborers. The dangers of bad company, drugs, and crime threatened their childhood and potential. Living among the community, we felt a deep connection and responsibility to help.
This experience ignited our mission to create 'Kalakriti Shiksha Foundation', a safe haven for children to explore their talents and dreams. We focus on providing engaging educational programs, creative activities, and mentorship, empowering young minds to thrive. As we continue this journey, our dedication remains unwavering. What started as a film project has transformed into a powerful movement for change, ensuring that every child has the opportunity for a brighter future. We will never give up on our mission.
